AMERICA'S FIRST MUSLIM CONGRESSMAN: ISLAMIIST WOLF IN AMERICAN SHEEP'S CLOTHING?

CONGRESSMAN ELLISON SWORN IN BY SPEAKER PELOSI
ON 2-VOLUME KORAN ONCE OWNED BY THOMAS JEFFERSON
The bottom line is we are not broke; there's plenty of money, it's just the government doesn't have it.  Congressman Keith Ellison

Thus, America's first Muslim congressman spoke out recently on the nation's economy.  Congressman Keith Ellison went on to say, "The government has a right, the government and the people of the United States have a right to run the programs of the United States.  Health, welfare, housing - all these things."

With U.S. debt hitting 17 trillion and an American economy still showing itself extremely anemic, such a statement simply boggles the mind.  One also wonders about the judgement of the voters of the 5th Congressional district of Minnesota. Could it be that these good people truly believe in a confiscatory role for our government?  Or, is Congressman Ellison simply mouthing the prevailing political philosophy of the statist-oriented Democrats who have captured the heart and soul of their party?

As a young law student at the University of Minnesota, Congressman Ellison, was an apologist for Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam, minimizing the many anti-semitic statements made by Farrakhan.  Furthermore, he spared few words as a spokesman in calling for reparations from white Americans to black Americans. Despite his campaign pronouncements, however, several key leaders of the Minnesota Jewish community openly and strongly supported Ellison's campaigns for public office.

Totally ignoring the Council on American Islamic Relations' (CAIR) connections to terrorist organizations such as Hamas and its status as an unindicted co-conspirator in the infamous Holy Land Foundation trial in 2008, Ellison eagerly accepted campaign contributions from that group.  Hiding behind vebiage in which it calls itself a "civil rights" organization, CAIR's past financial gifts to Hamas conclusively show its dalliance with terrorism and terrorist organizations.

From all indications, accounting was not the strong suit for Ellison, as witness multiple violations of the campaign expenditures code.  In fact, the congressman has been sued two times for such violations by the Minnesota attorney general's office, and there have been several instances of unreported contributions and failure to fully and truly reveal sources of funds.  Could it be that the sloppy accounting could be related to Congressman Ellison's incoherent view of the role of out-of-control government spending in the U.S. economy?

Ellison is also known for involving himself in the celebrated "six imams controversy," involving six imams on a United flight to Phoenix.  The imams separated on board and refused to sit in their assigned seats. Consequently, alarmed Arabic-speaking passengers who heard them praising Osama bin-Laden and making extremely inflammatory remarks about the U.S. and its foreign policy, expressed their fear to the crew .  The imams, who were eventually forcibly removed from the flight after an unscheduled landing, quite predictably sued United Airlines.

In unsuccessful runs for the Minnesota legislature early in his political career, Ellison ran as "Keith Ellison-Muhammad."  However, probably out of political expediency, Ellison dropped "Muhammad" and experienced successful outcomes in later campaigns.

Other Ellison dubious connections are with the Muslim American Society (MAS)  and the Islamic Society of North America (INSA), which have both revealed themselves to be closely aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood.  These groups of outstanding Muslim-Americans have branded Jews as sub-human degenerates and have  called for their destruction.  Christians have also frequently been the targets of their super-charged rhetoric.  In booths at Muslim gatherings sponsored by the ISNA, vendors have hawked tee-shirts which proclaimed anti-American, anti-Israeli sentiments and pro-Hamas slogans.  Both of the organizations have been criticized frequently by members of Congress not of Congressman Ellison's persuasion.

On several occasions, Congressman Ellison has proclaimed himself to be a "patriotic American."  However, if we judge individuals by the company they keep, these claims are open to question. The Koran sanctions taqiyyah, or lying in the defense of Islam, which is viewed by some as basic strategy in "stealth jihad."  It is no secret that Muslim extremists look to the day when the "Great Satan" may be brought to its knees.  What better way to accomplish this goal than to ally with the misguided socialists and malcontents in the Democratic Party who have caused such social disruption in the U.S.  If Congressman Ellison's lame philosophy of not being broke because the government just hasn't gotten around to grabbing the money yet gains traction, then we are further down the road to rack and ruin than we previously realized.
